Meet Liam Floyd
My name is Liam Floyd and I am the North England and Isle of Man Area Sales Manager at Translift. I originally started as an Apprentice Engineer, but as of September 2021, I moved into my Sales Manager role.
In terms of industry experience, I have been in Sales and Management roles including leading a team of 15 plus consultants ensuring KPIs are met along with training. I managed work team initiatives including associated work group meetings and the creation of supporting documentation such as presentations, timelines and reports. From there I took over an area where I was creating and leading a regional strategy to gain access for new business while sustaining and expanding existing partnerships.
Being an Engineer at Translift previously and understanding in detail how our trucks operate gives me a huge advantage when it comes to explaining why a Bendi Truck is more suitable than any other. I can give details that only people who fix the machines can give, therefore being able to educate and guide customers and make them feel more confident in our product.
Being back at Translift has shown me exactly what a business should be, we are like one big family. I feel our Managing Director Paul Berrow, who has been one of us, understood perfectly what direction the business needed to go in and he has done this with Rob magnificently.
It’s a business with unlimited support and Directors are there for you around the clock. Translift has also taught me that there are no limits to success here and we are all pushing for the same goals.
I think everyday at Translift is a new challenge, a new customer and a new objective. The main thing that makes this role perfect is the people I work with and the limitless opportunities. The relationship we have with one another is something I have never experienced before and something that is so much better since I came back.
I also have a great relationship with our MD which again is something you don’t really see at many companies – I believe this shows how much of an asset Paul is to us.
The most interesting thing is you are always learning something new every single day and dealing with different companies, big and small. Being able to meet with our customers to represent such a great business and to be able to help and assist them is something I am proud of.
My personal values are to give my son and daughter the world and I feel I’m finally where I need to be working for Translift to achieve this and more
From a business perspective, being a Sales Director is a goal I have set for myself. Although I am far away from this position, I believe in time I will have the ability to take the business forward in this role.
I love all things business, but being a dad and making the kids laugh is my wind down for a few hours. I love going to the gym and also playing golf and football alongside going to watch Liverpool. I am also into my cars.
